Because we live in a digital age, there isn't a business out there today that will be solely bricks and mortar without also having a web presence. Knowing the basics - from how to ensure your website will be crawled by the search engines, to how to use social media to your best advantage, is absolutely essential for any budding entrepreneur.
It has become very easy to start our own sites, blogs or even just put a bricks & mortar company online thanks to all-in-one web packages and blogging platforms. However many people do not neccessarily understand why search engines are important. Search Engine Marketing 101 will give a simple background introduction to what SEM is and how anyone can learn the basics to help get the most out of of their personal or business website.

About the Speaker: Originally from the UK via France, Annabel Hodges is a digital marketing expert with almost ten years' experience in the industry. She is currently Head of SEO & Content Marketing at Columbus Search, leading the national team and working with some of the biggest brands in Australia. Annabel is an expert blogger, contributing to industry blogs and speaking at a variety of digital events across the world. Originally working with start-ups and her own pet projects, Annabel is passionate about digital marketing and how basic education can help anybody improve their online presence.
