Skills Workshop: Developing a Fundraising Strategy for your Social Enterprise

    Securing a stable source of funding is usually one of the most challenging aspects of launching a new endeavour. There are a lot of pitfalls for young entrepreneurs including how to position yourself as an attractive destination for funds without compromising your core purpose.


    This workshop is aimed at helping organisations identify and access a range of different funding sources. It will be tailored to both founders and organisational staff in the early stages of growth for an organisation and more established organisations looking to expand their funding sources. This workshop will provide key insghts for NFPs. Social enterprises may also benefit from considering other funding sources.

    About the Speakers
    Jeff Forrest is a business advisor with L.E.K. Consulting. He has launched and sustained a number of non-profit and for-profit start ups in the last 10 years, worked as a consultant to the charity sector, and serves on the board of directors of a not-for-profit organisation.

    Kirstin Hunter is a management consultant with Bain & Company. She has served on the boards of several non-profit organisations, and has advised a number of charities on fund-raising and growth strategies.
