Wallaby Ranch for swimming pool, volleyball, Hang Gliding, & more

Wallaby Ranch is the only place like it in the state with a unique laid back atmosphere, less than 40mins from downtown Orlando.

It was featured on nationwide TV with celebrity Al Roker Hang Gliding there. Here is a video that shows most of the place:

We are being welcomed out to Wallaby Ranch for FREE use of their swimming pool, volleyball net, trampoline, rock climbing wall, dart game (bring your darts), free Wi-Fi, nature trials and more.

OPTIONAL HANG GLIDING is being offered to us with a special GROUP DISCOUNT for $140 (USUALLY $175), plus a huge brunch buffet included (buffet starts at 10am).

Tandem Hang Glides are mainly done in the morning so you should get there at 8am and for your buffet during the 10am hour. They may or may not do them in the afternoon depending on wind conditions.

(bring your own gear to climb)

UPDATE May 9th:

Try to get there by 8am if wanting to tandem Hang Glide, they mainly do it in the morning. Although they still do them in the afternoon provided the wind conditions are favorable.

Brunch starts at 10am, it's included if Hang Gliding or you can pay a donation for it if not flying.

There are not as many people signed up as expected probably because of it being Mother's Day weekend as a couple of women mentioned to me. However, we have other people joining us and it should be a nice little turn out, feel free to come when you can and bring as many guests as you want.

The Meetup will run from the morning through early afternoon. Please bring your own food for lunch or eat there at brunch. Thanks!

Just as a (potential) heads up: I believe if you plan on going hang gliding, you need to be out there by around 8 A.M. They mainly fly early in the morning, when the air is calmest. They sometimes fly in late afternoons (maybe ~5PM) as well, but that's not always a given, especially with potential storms.

IMPORTANT UPDATE IF CHOOSING TO FLY: Tandem Hang Glides are mainly done in the morning so you should get there at 8am and for your buffet during the 10'clock hour. They may not do them in the afternoon because of stronger winds.

Update: I'm moving the date a week back because of Cinco de Mayo and to give more of a notice. It's a really great place, come out if you can, it's less than 40mins from downtown.

I just wanted to say that I've been out to Wallaby before (twice actually) and went once on a tandem flight. It was awesome! They even let you control the glider once you're up in the air (if you want to). Such an awesome facility. Very pretty locale, and the people there are very cordial and laid back. There's a whole lot more to do out there than just hang glide (not that that wouldn't be enough!). They're known worldwide and have a stellar safety record. is a community for HG pilots, and a good place to inquire about Wallaby if you're curious.

I'd really like to come out to this event, but I'm not 100% sure if I'll be able to make it or not.
