Are you looking for a traditional martial art that values courage, courtesy, discipline, harmony, honor, humility, perseverance, respect, and self-control?

Have you considered a martial art school in which one can move up through the ranks based purely on one's hard work and dedicated training and not on natural ability?

Do you want to learn a martial art that incorporates the use of weapons as an integral part of your training?

If the answer is YES to any of the above, then the Ryukyu Kobujutsu (Kobudo) and Karate Jutsu program at Yuishinkai Kobujutsu USA (YKUSA) should interest you.

The aims of YKUSA are to instruct and promote the martial art teachings of the late Master Gansho Inoue (1) in the USA.   Inoue O'Sensei studied Karate Jutsu under Yasuhiro Konishi, Ryukyu Kobujutsu (Kobudo) under Shinken Taira, and not least of all, Bujutsu under his lifelong mentor Seiko Fujita. Today carrying on this tradition is Hanshi Kisho Inoue, the son of Master Gansho Inoue (1). Hanshi Kisho Inoue is the current headmaster of both Yuishinkai and Ryukyu Kobujutsu Hozon Shinko Kai

The Chief Instructor of YKUSA is Colman Fink who is also a Branch Chief in the USA for both Yuishinkai and Ryukyu Kobujutsu Hozon Shinko Kai.  He has been graded yondan (4th dan) in both Yuishinkai and Ryukyu Kobujutsu Hozon Shinko Kai, and teaches Ryukyu Kobujutsu and Karate Jutsu in Wareham. For more information, please check the official website of Yuishinkai Kobujutsu USA.

If you're in the local vicinity and interested in Ryukyu Kobujutsu (Kobudo) and Karate Jutsu training, please check out classes & locations or send an email to Colman Fink at or call him at 508-322-1299.

If you're a martial art school in the USA and interested in hosting a workshop on Shinken Taira - Gansho Inoue (1) style Ryukyu Kobujutsu, please call or email as listed above.

Colman Fink also teaches Tai Chi (Taiji), Qigong and Daoyin in Wareham, Middleborough and Plymouth. Check the corresponding Meetup group Tai Chi (Taiji), Qigong and Daoyin on SouthCoast for meetups on Tai Chi and Qigong. More information on Colman Fink's Tai Chi & Qigong program can be found on his website Martial Arts with Colman. You can also follow his martial arts postings on his Google+ pages Yuishinkai Kobujutsu USA and Martial Arts with Colman.

(1) Gansho Inoue was Motokatsu Inoue's preferred Bujutsu name
