Wednesday Evening Meditation:

Come join us for meditation, walking, tea, no Dharma talk this week.

Those attending for the first time should join from seven to nine p.m. and request beginning instruction which is provided free of charge by a senior student each week. Try to arrive at 6:45 p.m. if it's your first visit so you have time to settle in. Someone will be in the lobby to greet you and help you find a comfortable seat for meditation (a cushion, bench or chair).

We sit jointly with the Unitarian Universalist Compassionate Mind Sangha, sharing Sensei
Lee Ann Nail as our teacher each Wednesday evening in Hanneman Hall (to the right as you enter)
the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 5090 Center Street NE, Salem, Oregon.

Everyone is welcome:
5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Quiet meditation in Zen style

6:30– 7:00 p.m. Samu (preparing zendo)

7:00 – 7:30 p.m. Evening Meditation

7:25 – 7:35 p.m. Walking Meditation

7:35 – 8:00 p.m. Meditation and Private Interview

8:00 – 9:00 p.m. Silent tea, Dharma Talk
Discussion and Chanting

9:00 - 9:10 p.m. Washing bowls, cleaning
and departure together

With prior arrangement, free childcare can be provided from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. (call[masked] to request).

It is possible to then attend just the 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. meditation or just the 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. program or both. The full Wednesday evening program is structured to offer a short weekly Zazenkai for the more serious/ long-term Zen student (from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with service positions assigned to those who are able).

All that we offer is given for free (donations are deeply appreciated).
