Practice Zen Meditation
Join us for Zen meditation this Wednesday at 7. If you're new, come at 6:45 for a brief orientation. We will do Zen sitting meditation (Zazen), a few minutes walking meditation (Kinhin), and we'll have brief individual one-on-one meetings (Daisan), a chance to ask any questions you may have about Zen practice. It's easy, and everyone does it well the first time. Walking Tree Zen is a Soto Zen Buddhist group, practicing in the lineage of the late Taizan Maezumi Roshi and the White Plum Asangha. We are affiliated with Treetop Zen Center. Guiding Teacher: Rev. Todd Hotai Watson, Sensei.

What we're about

Walking Tree Zen is a new Zen Buddhist community in Keene, New Hampshire. We meet weekly to practice Soto Zen. We welcome you and your friends, regardless of experience, religious affiliation, gender, sexual orientation, politics... In other words, diversity is appreciated and all are welcomed. Our group is led by teachers authorized in the Zen lineage of Taizan Maezumi Roshi, founder of Los Angeles Zen Center and the White Plum Asangha. Join us for weekly practice on Tuesday evenings. We also offer weekend and weeklong retreats at our center in Maine.
