What we're about
I love Zionsville, and it's a very pleasant place to walk - on the river trail off Lion's Park, the Elm Street Green, and just walking around the neighborhoods just past the bricked main street area. The whole area has a peaceful feel to it. The only thing that could make my walks even better is good company and good conversation. I work a normal work week (8-5) and I would love to be able to walk a couple of evenings during the week, after dinner; maybe 6:30, and once on the weekend. Ideally, that would be Tuesday, Thursday, and either Saturday or Sunday. These walks are for exercise, so they would need to be around 45 minutes to an hour - but a somewhat leisurely stroll is fine. I'm not interested in walking so fast that you miss all the beauty around you, and I'm not training for a marathon. I am a 55 year-old woman, and like many people my age still out in the working world, I spend most of my days with much younger people. On my off time, though, I crave conversation with people in their 50s and older who have lived more of life and can look back on the years behind them with thoughtfulness, while looking forward to the years ahead with a sense of curiosity and some enthusiasm. If you've made it this far with your sense of humor intact, with your sense of wonder still engaged, and the health and vitality to thoroughly enjoy an hour's walk after a day or a week at work, then I would love to see you join this group.
