Come talk accessibility with us in downtown SD at Blink UX. We will have pizza, beer, and some amazing lightning talks!

We'll start the lightning talks around 7:15pm.

Topic: How to bake accessibility into UX from the beginning through top-down communication

Allie Curtis is the organizer and lead mentor of the CappUXcino & Coffee mentorship group. She is a Sr. UX Researcher and Product Designer with two decades of experience in front-end/software development and design.


Topic: Practical tips for accessibility on your client’s budget

Chance Strickland is an independent frontend developer with a decade of experience in design and client services. His mission is to create a better web that breaks down barriers, and to empower others to do the same.


Topic: Accessibility within the team workflow, not as an afterthought

Megan Reeder is a designer turned Front End Engineer. She is passionate about spreading the knowledge and need for web accessibility at American Specialty Health.


Topic: How user research informed eone's product strategy in developing a watch for the blind

Syrena H. is a user experience researcher with over 5 years of experience in hardware product development, service design and digital experience strategy. Syrena will share a case study about the Bradley watch and discuss the research methods that contributed to the product's inclusive design.
