Join this A11YChi x Girl Develop It (GDI) Chicago partnership event on Tuesday, October 2nd for a free preview of GDI's Web Accessibility class (Saturday, Oct. 6th).

Learn a few basics and whether this class ( is right for you.

Margie Chubin, a software engineer at Sprout Social, will cover different types of disabilities, what WCAG means, and how designing and developing with accessibility in mind can improve your web and software projects for everyone.

This is a must-have skill for anyone who works on the web, including developers, designers, testers, and product owners.

Food and beverages will be provided by RedShelf:

About the speaker

Margie Chubin is a computer science graduate from UIUC, where she studied accessibility, and is now an active advocate to her coworkers and peers. She believes everyone should be able to use technology, including individuals with disabilities. When not coding or discussing accessibility best practices, you can find Margie cooking or eating food.
