Vision
BrothasSpeakFtL provides a safe, encouraging and engaging forum for Black gay, SGL, bisexual and trans-gendered men from ages eighteen (18) and above to fellowship through the discussion of issues relevant to them as multi-faceted individuals and to those communities in which they are involved.
Mission
BrothasSpeakFtL is dedicated to providing a dynamic forum in which Black gay, SGL, bisexual and trans-gendered men can explore issues relevant to them and to their communities with the goals of creating: Opportunities for Black gay, SGL, bisexual and trans-gendered men to fellowship in a social environment that is conducive to communication and discussion. Greater awareness and understanding among members of the (inter)personal, emotional, social, cultural, political, spiritual, economic and health realities and concerns of Black gay, SGL, bisexual and trans-gendered men.
Objective
In order to achieve this important mission BrothasSpeakFtL may:
Organize a weekly facilitated discussion group that invites and welcomes Black gay, SGL, bisexual and trans-gendered men from ages eighteen (18) and above.
Disseminate information to members that is relevant to the mission of the organization and to the interests of its members.
Sponsor any additional events that advance the mission of the organization and support the interests of its members.
All data, information and opinions expressed at BrothasSpeakFtL events are those of the individual speakers and not of the BrothasSpeakFtL organization. All members and attendees at BrothasSpeakFtL events, BY THEIR PRESENCE, accept that opinions expressed by other members may offend them, but recognize that any such offenses are the result of usual discussion of sometimes controversial issues and/or the expressions of individuals’ personal experiences. Individuals, who do not accept the risk of such offense, are advised to avoid involvement in BrothasSpeakFtL events.
