Hello, Accent Reduction Miami members! It's been a while since we met for our fun free events. It's time to do it again!
Grab your picnic blanket or chairs, your picnic basket, a bottle of wine, friends, and lets meetup at the free Jazz concert at MOCA, the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami. We've done this several times, and everybody loves it.
This month's concert is: Jowee ( pronounced Joey) Omicil a native of Montreal Canada with roots in Haiti, plays the alto and tenor saxophone, soprano flute and clarinet in a poetic and harmonious yet powerful style. In his latest release “Roots & Grooves,” Jowee offers an accessible sound with an element of spirituality. He is an “intuitive tone weaver” fusing his singing voice with the “voice” on wind instruments.

The concert starts around 8:00. But if you come at 7:00, we'll get the best place to set up our blankets, and you'll get a free lesson of tips to reduce your accent from Speech and Accent Coaches Lisa Jeffery and Alicia Harris. Then, when everyone arrives, you'll get to meet friends and speak English together! The fun part is meeting the other members of Accent Reduction Miami! You can also tour the museum for FREE! Many people bring the kids and they love it too!
