Bourton-on-the-Water is located in the Cotswolds, within the heart of England, famous for its honey-coloured stone architecture and idyllic village scenes. Known as the Venice of the Cotswolds, this one village offers many attractions and shops, restaurants, cafes and tea rooms. A space to enjoy some pleasurable time engrossed by the movement of the sparkling waters of the River Windrush with its spanned five arched bridges.
β οΈ NOTE: This event is only open to limited selected/attendees that are flexible and understand the risks of timings with such a trip. This is a one-way hike and the return to Moreton-in-Marsh Station is via a local bus* with limited capacity/timings!

π 8:52am: Paddington > Moreton-in-Marsh [10:18am]
πΆ 10:30am Hike > Bourton-on-the-Water (under 5.5 hours)
ποΈ Enjoy: Bourton-on-the-Water. Time for / Tea / Ice cream / Model Village etc.
π 6:00pm:* Edinburgh Wool Shop Stop > Moreton-in-Marsh
π 6:55pm: Moreton-in-Marsh > Paddington [8:23pm]
* Next & Last Bus!!! 7:15pm > 7:45pm. Train: 7:56pm (in case of capacity/bus issues, we would have to try and get a cab to the station and share the cost).
ποΈ Train Tickets: It is best to purchase with a Network Rail Card or group disocunt (3+). We will aim to purchase an Open Return on the day with those that have a Network Rail Card and can share (as it allows 4 people per Rail Card for discount). Please be prepared to pay people on the day at meetup time! Costs around Β£35.95 with discount for open return.

π§ Prayer: We will take a breaks on route.
π What to bring: appropriate clothing/boots, water bottle (at least 2L).
π₯ͺ Packed Lunch/Dinner and snacks.
π Advisable to have layers, you will get hot when hiking and cold when not - ability to put layeres on/off may keep you more comfortable.
π₯Ύ Hiking boots are highly recommended.
𧦠Double socks are a good tip for walking/hiking (reduces chance of blisters - if you don't have hiking socks).
ποΈ "No shows" for previous events may be moved to the waitlist/not going to prioritise reliable attendees / new joiners - when there is a waiting list, priority is given by attendance records / new joiners.
