Join us on Friday evening at 7pm for a full moon walk.
Friday 5th December is the last of three Supermoons in a row for 2025, so it will be larger and brighter than usual. Spiritually, this Supermoon involves themes of reflection, stillness and preparation for new beginnings. It is seen as a time for inner work, releasing what is no longer needed, and finding peace and clarity as the year winds down.
We will stop for a short Full Moon celebration along the walk, likely at the old swings table and chairs, so pls feel free to bring along nibbles, cheese, dips etc. to share. Also, pls bring along a head torch if you have one, in case the full moon isn't bright enough.

Meet at McElligott's Quarry Reserve at the end of Carrick Hill Drive (not at Carrick Hill) near 48 Carrick Hill Drive, Mitcham. You can park along the road or in the reserve.
We will walk along the Yurrebilla trail through the grounds of Carrick Hill then through the University of Adelaide's Waite Reserve and around to the top of Willawilla (Brownhill) back down to where we started. The walk usually takes less than two hours. Dogs are not permitted.
This is a moderate hike with some steep bits, but mostly undulating. It is not recommended for those with bad knees or those who are not fit. There may be cattle along a portion of the walk. Total length is around 6 km. Bring water to drink and wear appropriate walking gear. If you bring a + 1, ensure that they are able to do this hike and understand the conditions of AW&J.

By recording a YES RSVP and/or attending this Event you are agreeing to our Policies & Guidelines and our Disclaimer & Release. (These documents can obtained by contacting the Organiser)
