Let's have some fun again at Proud Lake again. Like in previous years, the event is organized by Bill Morse from BS Hiking (and a member of our group). This is a multi-group event. We will have few outdoor activities throughout the day, which might include (depending on the weather) day hiking, night hiking, xc skiing, snowshoeing, etc. Some of you might even want to bring your kayaks and try paddling there on Huron River.
We will also eat, play a few games, relax and socialize. This is a potluck event, so plan on bringing a dish to share.
We will be collecting $ 1 - 2 donation to cover the cost of the building rental.
Bring a dish to pass for dinner (with serving utensils)
Bring your own plates/cups/utensils and beverage
Well water on site (you may want to bring your own).
Bring cards, board games, etc...
Cross-country skis or snowshoes:
You need to bring your own equipment (no rental available)
A State Recreation Passport is required to park your vehicle at Proud Lake ($10 annual)
Dress appropriately for each activity (e.g., hiking shoes, warm clothing).
Bring a flashlight or headlamp if you'll leave after suset (it gets dark in those woods!).
This is a family-friendly event. Any children participating in Adventure Quest led activities must be accompanied by an adult.
This is a pet-friendly event. All pets must be on a leash at all times.
Please read DNR alcohol policy (http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,4570,7-153-10365_10883-31330--,00.html) (varies by season; is park specific).
