Let's get one last mountain hike in before the cold weather sets in. This hike has beautiful views, and is a fun climb.
Hike details: http://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/gothic-basin
Distance: 9.2 miles, round trip
Elevation gain: 2840 feet
Highest point: 5200 feet
Note: Our destination will be a good lunch stop at Gothic Basin. We will not be climbing up to the peak.
Please bring the ten essentials, and be prepared for light rain in the forecast. Avoid jeans and cotton, as they're miserable to wear in any kind of rain. Hopefully, the clouds will clear up a bit when we get to top, but, even if not, the meadow is quite a sight, in and of itself.
Transportation: We will met at Ash Way P&R at 7:00 to carpool to the trail head, which is the parking area at Barlow Pass, at the end of the paved road. A Northwest Forest Pass is required to park at the trailhead.
