and sheathed their swords for lack of argument

The summer Shakespeare in the Park season is upon us. If you've never been to one of these free plays, you are missing one of Seattle's best kept secrets!
We'll meet at Luther Burbank Park at 5:00 and begin the loop of the Island at 5:15. The pace is moderate. The route has lots of fun rolling hills. We will stay together / regroup often. Once back at the park we can relax on the grassy hill over a picnic supper and what the play.
What to bring: Blanket to sit on, your supper and maybe some extra snacks to share around, a few dollars to donate to the Shakespeare company if you like.
Showers will cancel this ride.
This is a Cascade Bike Club ride. You don't have to be a member to ride, but will need to wear a helmet and sign their waiver.
Not a cyclist? Join us for the play after the ride!
Unless you're a British Lit scholar, I always recommend people read a synopsis of the play before coming. It makes it much more enjoyable if you are familiar with the play. Here's a great website for that.

Fun ride. Good play. Recap English history. France can't catch a break.

Lol indeed they can't. :0). I'm posting a similar event for King Lear at volunteer park in mid August. Should be posted in a day or so. Hope you can join again.

Is this a different group? The location noted on this calendar is Camp Long.

Amy and I will join the troupe at the stage. As you know, neither of us have a bike. You will recall I sold my bike a few years back because of a flat tire. :)

I will try to join you just for the play. I am training for Ride Idaho which starts next week and just decided to do a 75 mi. ride on the penninsula earlier on Fri. with friends. Hopefully I can do both.

There are a couple of parking lots at Luther Burbank. We will meet at the lower lot near the amphitheater. I'll be in a gold SUV.
I plan to get there early enough to set up my blanket before the ride. You may want to do the same.
    See you there! :o)
