1524 N 200th St, Shoreline, WA
But this destination is scenic and perfect for beginners.
You have to be able to walk easily a long distance. Snowshoes will change your gate and makes it more of an exercise
If you have never had any snowshoe experience this would be the hike for you.
If you would like to hone your basic skills and/or endurance... come along. But keep in mind that the pace is slow. If you cannot snowshoe at a slow pace, wait for a more advanced event.
Round-trip measures 5 miles and has an elevation gain of only 200 feet.
HOW TO DRESS:
Winter clothing (layered) and water proof hiking boots. At backpack with snacks, water, sunscreen, extra cloves and sun glasses.
WHAT TO BRING:
Snowshoes can be rented at either REI or Second Ascent in Ballard. I will notify the attendees by Friday morning if the event is a go or has to be cancelled due to lack of snow.
