This group is for local people interested AND willing in adventurous trips -all over New York, ESPECIALLY Long Island, lower Upstate NY’s HValley;, lets focus on Weekend Getaways - ONE or 2 days, and anything else that can be done for fun! It is open t0 people 40+ who are willing AND able to explore “remote” locales, make NEW friends (this means Networking AND being Social together!) with OUT drama or nonsense! So if you are tired of spending the weekends at home (either bored or glued to your computer/iPhones WASTING precious time) or sitting in a chair drinking listening to bands, this group MIGHT just be THE answer to YOUR boredom! We’ll meet on weekends, but might occasionally get together during the week if an interesting situation comes up! Let's get out there and enjoy what our vicinity& environs has to offer! I’m talking about wineries, Farms, local beaches (yeah why not- admire a sunset), visiting a town (see what it’s ALL about- you NEVER know what’s there, what they have ”in store”), this might require to drive some distances! If you are single (and have time on your side willing & able) couples welcome - we can learn from each other.,,.,- (if you’re willing & able to “donate” time without worrying about anything) and have no issues about going back home evenings. You’ll NEVER know until you’re READY to go out and EXPLORE! Hope you’re ready! :-) PROS? Free to be in, this is NOT an early birdie meetup group (sometimes you’d rather sleep mornings- mostly afternoons and into evenings, avoid traffic and usual large crowds). CONS? Come back early evenings, must be willing to drive and “out of pocket” expenses! Examples? Trip to LI winery, farms market, Shelter Island- HValley wineries/hard cider, farm pickings, trip to Moroni Mt. House.,.,.,. Get THE idea?!
