What we're about

Private Group

The main purpose of this group is to meet other paddlers and spend more time paddling. All those who enjoy kayaking in the ocean, flat water, and whitewater are welcome to attend! Discuss gear, destinations, and kayaking expeditions. Folks who prefer canoes, rafts, or stand up paddle boards are all welcome to join and paddle with the entire group. The more time we spend on the water the better. All members can create, coordinate, and lead paddling trips.
Monthly full moon paddle, weekly day trips, annual week long expedition and special instruction clinics through out the entire year.

The first thing you will notice about our meet-up is we spend more time paddling than creating club officers, rules, guide lines, and meetings. WE PADDLE and want as many opportunities as possible to be on the water.

Beginners welcome, meet up organizer is an ACA kayak/canoe instructor, Nationally certified Wilderness First Responder, International/National Sierra Club outings Leader, with over 25 years of full time guiding experience, who is eager to introduce people to a fantastic sport.

A few things to know:

This club was created and is still operated by Greg Pflug at Adventures in Florida (A.I.F). Most all of the events are created and hosted by volunteers, however, on some occasions A.I.F has openings on one of it's day tours or week long expeditions. These spots are often offered to meet up members for free or at a minimal cost. In some cases an event organizer gets sick and can't lead an event they created and A.I.F will have the event lead by one of it's guides rather than canceling the event.

Our club has partnered with MTI life Jackets, NRS, Necky, Old Town, Ocean Kayak and Crescent Kayaks. Once a year (Oct) you can order any equipment at or below wholesale. Please do not abuse this amazing privilege.

We have a few rental options for members or guests in need of a kayak for an event. Recreational kayaks can be rented for $35. per event. After you have rented the kayak 12 times, you can keep it, it's yours forever, take it home with you.

Expedition sea kayaks can be rented for $45. a day or $225. a week. These you don't get to keep.
