What we're about

This group is a celebration of African Fashion, Films, Music, and Dance, and their growth worldwide. Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Ethiopia and South Africa has led the way for the massive leap to the top.

African Movie industry popularity has exploded during the last decade, thanks impart to the internet, and to quote an issue of New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/19/world/africa/with-a-boom-before-the-cameras-nigeria-redefines-african-life.html?_r=0) Nigeria is now the 2nd biggest movie industry in the world.

The cinema of Nigeria, often referred to as Nollywood, grew quickly in the 1990s and 2000s and became the second largest film industry in the world in number of annual film productions, placing it ahead of the United States and behind only India In 2013, it was rated as the third most valuable film industry in the world after generating a total revenue of (US$10 billion) in 2013 alone, placing it behind India and the United States.

Although Nigerian films have been produced since the 1960s, the rise of affordable digital filming and editing technologies has stimulated the country's film and video industry.

Even Abroad African Born Actors (http://www.forbes.com/sites/faraigundan/2014/03/03/from-charlize-theron-to-lupita-nyongo-african-oscar-nominees-and-winners-through-the-years/#1e17afe6535e) have made a big splash recently, with the most recent being Lupita Nyong's of Kenya.

Great Voices are also plenty in Africa, like Angelique Kidjo (http://www.musicinafrica.net/directory/ang%C3%A9lique-kidjo) of Benin, Wizkid (http://www.musicinafrica.net/directory/wizkid) of Nigeria, Fuse ODG (http://www.musicinafrica.net/directory/fuse-odg) of Ghana, these are entertainers that should be celebrated the world over.
