Plant spirits workshops

  • Aug 18, 2013 · 9:30 AM

a half day outdoor experiential workshop on connecting and communicating with plant spirits. This year you can choose between two sessions, either Sunday, July 21 or Sunday, August 18, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

We will be moving back and forth between ordinary and non-ordinary reality as we explore:

Communicating with plant spirits

Non-verbal ways of knowing plants

Identification of wild edible and medicinal plants

Spiritual aspects of gathering plants and using them for healing

This workshop will be held at the Button Living History Center in Germantown, Maryland. The cost is $30. All proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization that manages the land with you to give visitors the experience of a 19th-century Montgomery County farm and to promote awareness about slavery and the Underground Railroad.

Advance registration is required. Register early-- space is limited and this workshop sold out last year. Everyone had lots of fun and connected successfully with the spirits of the plants growing wild at the Button Farm!

Complete directions and information about what to bring and what to expect will be sent upon registration. To register, send email to [masked]with your contact info including phone number. Send check for $30 payable to Annie Delaterre LLC to 6300 Bannockburn Drive, Bethesda, MD 20817.

Please pass on the information to anyone who might be interested.

Plant spirit blessings to all,

This sounds great, but I don't have a car. I'll keep an eye out for other possible events closer to public transportation! Hope it goes well.

I'm participating in the July 21st session. Annie Delaterre, the instructor, is a friend and colleague of mine, with tremendous talents and much wisdom to share in relating to the spirits of the land. We've worked together on many occasions.

Here's a brief bio for her: Annie Delaterre is a wild edible and medicinal plant enthusiast and a
student of geomancy (divining the energies of the Earth). Her passion is connecting with the spirits of nature and landscapes, especially in the watershed of the great River Potomac where she lives. She has studied with Mary “Tyrtle” Rooker, Betsy Bergstrom, Pam Montgomery (plant spirit medicine), Marko Pogacnik (geomancy and earth energies) and Ana Larramendi (shamanism and the spirits of nature). She is a graduate of the American Society of Dowsers dowsing school.
