Jambo (Hello) my Sistas and Brothas,

Habari Gani (Whats Happenig/Whats the News?)

Peace and Blessing, The Holiday season is here!

Peace and Blessings,

Family, Thank you for the past years support of our work in the Community promoting Wholistic Health and Wholistic Lifestyles. We want to continue as we close out the year 2008 with great motivation. Looking towards the challenges of the future in a crumbling economy, many more of us will be unable to afford quality Wholisitc Health Care. AWHA and its members are committed to assisting those in need. We ask you and others to generously contribute to the work we are doing in the community to inform, educate and service those in need by making monetary donations in check or money order to AWHA INC. 3830 34TH ST. 2nd Floor, Mt Rainier Md. 20712 or log onto www.Networkforgood.org type in The African Wholistic Health Association(AWHA Inc.) D.C. Chapter and follow the prompt though the Donation payment system they have set up. It's a great thing and a great feeling to know you have helped someone who, if it were not for your concern, would not get the service needed to be Well, to be Healed, to be Thankful that there is someone who cares. My Mom told me once that the recipient doesn’t have to know where the help came from, only you, have to know that they will receive the Blessings. Health care is a Right! You can also contribute material items like office supplies, cleaning materials, copying services as well as Volunteering to pass out flyers or do some office /administrative work. Volunteer and work with our Membership Services and get a free Health Assessment. If you are a Practitioner, we have office space available for leasing.

Lastly, don't forget to become a member of AWHA INC and receive member benefits, and if you are already a member thank you for your membership. Now don't forget to renew your membership this year, 2009. This too helps us to serve. I have included a copy of our Mission Statement so you may look at the work we are doing and what you are contributing to. We have been around for 20 years. AWHA was founded in 1988 as a 501(c) 3 Non-profit as a Community Health/Acupuncture Clinic A Humble & Sincere Thank You! and we look forward to another 20 years of service with your support!

Let me take this time to invite you to our Holiday Kwanzaa Program (see attachment). One of the Special things about this program is the Veggie Extravaganza highlighting the Live/Raw Food Chefs in D.C. With a combined total experience of over 40years. Oh! the Deserts are incredible and are good enough to handle any SWEET TOOTH, but they are healthy! SSHHHHHH(try the blueberry cheese cake) We will also do a Kwanzaa Hands on Workshop with your Family and Children so as to thoroughly explain the Kwanzaa Process. Children get to touch and see the materials used for Kwanzaa and what the role of the Children is. We have a Special vendor with Childrens Outfits and Clothing .We will show Health Videos & Discussions following, and presenting Professional Body Workers performing their hands on Magic with Tony Jackson AWHA’s Senior Massage Therapist, and by Lisa, Nichole, Carol, Noorul and other local Massage Specialist, Conventional and Traditional Reiki Healers and Seasoned Reflexologist. Get your Health Assessments from Certified Wholistic Health Consultants like Dr Karen Davis-Foulks, Dr Kokayi Patterson, Dr. L.O. Africa’s Wholistic Health N.D.Consultants Team and others. Qi Gong and Yoga Mini session, just great family fun and we are inviting the entire D.C., Maryland and Virginia communities.

We have set up time for the Bodywork sessions,Lectures, Workshops and Videos between 3 and 6 pm, prior to the Ceremony and Program which starts promptly at 6pm featuring Market Five Gallery Dance Theater, Performing Artist Nana Malaya, Poets: Sis Kim Bey, Sista Lisa, HIP HOP Education, Musicians, Visual/Graphic Artist Displays, Malcom X Park Drummers, and more!
