Londoneers meetup: Multi-language site development

Please note: this date is a Tuesday, and the meeting will be held in the basement (access via the stairs on the right just inside of the main entrance).

Peter Lewis is going to be talking about multi-language sites in EE. I'm sure a few others of us will be chipping in with our experiences working with multi-lingual sites too.

Thanks Peter for your insights, very helpful, and to Emily for showing another approach which had some nice ideas.

Some great insight from Peter last night, and some great pointers for approaching a multi-language project. Nice to see everyone agan last night too.

Excellent, practical, very useful. I learn a lot in just 2 hours.

I am about to develop a multi-lingual site on EE, so this is great timing! I'd like to hear about the Transcribe add-on... is it solid enough?

I would be interested in hearing how people approach multi-lingual builds... Learn to love Structure, would also be awesome for another time.

    Happy to vote for multi-language.

One for another time: filtering content and keeping it persistent across a site. Application in mind is eCommerce, product ranges.

So 3 votes for multi-language then. The other discussion idea I came up with was building custom forums without the forums module, but add that as a suggestion for another time.

I moved out of London 2 years ago but the majority of my clients are still in London so having recently found this meetup group, I'm looking forward to coming along

Love to hear more about multi-lingual. I've heard on the grapevine that Pete has done an Arabic site so hoping for something a bit special here :-)
