Wind turbines... the blinking, spinning neon sign of the new millenia! In your backyard though?

I grew up in Nantucket, MA. This is an island tucked away off the coast and situated along side other islands thirty miles out to sea. There is a fierce battle to install the first off-shore wind farm in the US to the north of island. Polling shows that an 81% of state-wide residents are in favor of the project but there is a strong opposition from those "high-value" property owners including Senators Kerry and Kennedy that will not support the project. Something that's not often discussed is that in-time these projects can be removed with no impact. When we destroy a mountain for its coal... well you get the idea. I just wanted to see how other feel about having large-scale turbines installed in our state. Which statement most closely identifies your view?
