Green houses are fine, but we need to restore biodiversity of plant life and bees.  This is not just for the rich.  They are planting gardens in California that are not for the rich, but poor neighborhoods and no green house.  We need a combination of both.  Mexico put field workers out of work by establishing green houses for tomatoes that are sold in the United States. People were unemployed and the biodiversity of the area also when plants are not exposed to a natural environment.

Dear Sue,

One can eat from a solar panel. This group is for alternative energy. What more could support alternative energy than a Green House. These Heat and Food Producing solar collectors can provide you with the "eat your solar collector" happening. A green house addresses the energy and food interconnectedness.

But, HERS a building energy model simulation program does not equally equate the benefit of a green house versus a PV panel. A green house can easily be adapted to an existing home and provide an extended footprint associated to their living space and carbon contribution. The production costs of the space is much less than those associated to water and energy required to produce a semi-conductor micro circuit!

So please open your eyes and heart to simple solutions that can benefit many more people than the ego of the rich.
