Photowalk along the Amstel River

Photo walks are a great way to explore the city and to meet like minded people.
So lets meet up at the Waterlooplien have a look around the controversial Opera house, then head south down the Amstel river and check out some of the amazing river boats moored along the banks, all the way down to Martin Luther Kingpark, if we have time we can also go down into Amstel Park. Perhaps on the way we can stop by a cafe and have a snack and a coffee. Once we have finished the walk there is plenty of public transport to take us back into town.

Here are some google maps links that you can use to find us.
Let’s meet in front of Mozes En Aaronkerk (Moses and Aaron church) at 1:30, http://goo.gl/maps/xidGZ

This is the idea I have for the walk, we’ll try and stick to the route. Though it may vary a little on the day.

Weather: I’ll make a call the day before if the weather forecast is terrible to cancel it for another day. But a little bit of drizzle shouldn’t stop us though and can change the light in interesting ways. If the forecast is for call remember to dress up warm.

Ideas: I’d like to make these photo walks more regular, I have a few places all ready to go but I have only been in the country for a month. If you have any ideas for great places to explore, let me know and I organise a walk for it.

    Hi 劉麗麗,

Don't worry about it just being the two of us, there are a bunch of others coming from a different meetup group. Hope to see you there.

UPDATE: Looks like the weather is going to be fine for tomorrow, if a little cloudy (perfect for practicing photos of people and geometric shapes). So I’ll see you all tomorrow! For our start location the closest station is Waterloopein, it has trains, trams and buses available. Also for the length of the walk there are generally stations within a block or two, so we can easily bail out if it gets too late.

If you need directions on meeting us I recommend Google Maps it is startlingly accurate. We’ll wait around for about 10-15 minutes at the start location then head off on the walk.

If you get lost and need to contact me, I recommend e-mail, my address is daniel (at) ninja (dot) geek (dot) nz, I have a cellphone, but it’s American so if you want contact me via that number ([masked]) use Whatsapp, LINE or iMessage. Thanks and see you all soon.
