Do you find it difficult or exciting to photograph people on the street? Do you ask permission or not? What style of street photography is best for you? What are the correct settings to use? These are questions we deal with during this workshop.
The bustling Dappermarkt in Amsterdam East is an ideal workshop for a course in street photography. The diversity of people is great and the stall between you and the merchant can provide a comfortable distance.
What can you expect?
We start with some theory. Based on the level and needs of the group we discuss technique and composition. Then we examine iconic street photographers and their unique styles.
After some cake and coffee or tea we will head out. Via different assignments we capture the Dappermarkt and its vendors.
Then we return and eat some lunch that consists of fresh products from the market.
We conclude by discussing the pictures plenary and give each other feedback in order to grow as photographers.
