Re: [londroid] Beta testers wanted for BBC Weather app

Hi Kenton,

Been running the weather app for a while and now using the lockscreen widget as well, everything looks good and works well.

Two observations :

1. Swiping in from the left displays the navigation drawer, I only expected this when I touch the icon in the action bar. Maybe I'm slightly out of touch with the recommendations here, but this is different to the behaviour I'm used to with the action bar. The new g+ app doesn't work this way, for example.

2. There are no visual cues on the bottom half of the main activity. Combined with the inconsistent way of getting into and out of the breakdown of times and temperatures - click OR swipe to get in, swipe to get out, this only confuses. I having clicked by accident it wasn't obvious how to get back. Personally I'd remove the click handler so that getting in and out uses the same metaphor, and put a visual cue on the far right to indicate that you can scroll this area.

Nice app!

So less than 1 in 10 of you that downloaded the beta has sent us any
feedback. This might be a good thing, and there's no crash reports,
but even so, if you're intending to send feedback, please email me
off-list (or leave feedback through the HockeyApp website) - and soon,
because we're going live very very soon now :-) Latest public build
has Android's new Navigation Drawer support, NFC location sharing and
a DashClock extension. If you start the app, it should prompt you to
install the update, or you can install it by starting HockeyApp.
