What's the last book you read?

The last book that I completed was A Prayer For Owen Meany by John Irving, which came highly recommended, but I'm looking for someone to explain to me why I'm supposed to love it. Currently flying through A Moveable Feast.

What book would make a good read for this book club?

The Dog Stars by Peter Heller! It's allegedly a best seller, but I barely know anyone who's read it. It's a post apocalyptic novel that takes place in the western U.S. It's about finding yourself and feeling connected when it seems that all is lost. Every word is poetry.

We welcome members who join the group in order to follow our readings even if they can’t join us. But, we don’t like RSVPing YES and not showing. So, after 3 no-shows we send a message and after the 4th they are removed. Can you respect this rule?

I love books and I love reading! My first favorite book was The Velveteen Rabbit. My most recent favorite book was The Dog Stars by Peter Heller. I also enjoy 20th century art, hiking, and laughing.
