It is my family's language of choice; we travel often to the middle east; and I enjoy learning.
I speak and understand Levantine Arabic pretty well.
Taq hanak. In colloquial Lebanese it means "blah blah blah," with "hanak" meaning "jaw" and "Taq" indicates the sound the jaw makes when moving up and down!
I speak Lebanese pretty well, and I'm recently most interested in becoming literate in Arabic, too. I'm married to a Lebanese guy and have two daughters who are fluent in Lebanese.
