Create A Rain Garden

Rain gardens are a simple, low-tech way to capture and utilize storm-water on residential scale gardens. This hands-on workshop will cover how to install a small-scale rain catchment system with an integrated rain garden. We will discuss ways to size the system for your garden, how to choose the appropriate materials and plants for your site and the best ways to integrate them into your existing garden. Simple plumbing and ‘earth-work’ techniques will be outlined for homeowners to be able to install their own systems.

Instructor: Alan Hackler, Bay Maples Wild California Gardens.

Price: $125.  Discounts and fees may apply. Sponsored by Solar Living Institute.
