Come join us at The Forge Makerspace (located in the North Branch Library, Denton, TX) to learn about the Arduino. In this class we will be covering the following:

Direct Current Motors Part 1 (http://bit.ly/2gaoliN) (17:30) In this presentation you will learn how to use a DC motor through a series of demos. All involve two geared DC motors (why use just one when we can use two?) and a motor break-out circuit. I'll explain what these are in a minute. Here's what we are going to build in this presentation: Direct current motors, Part 2 (http://bit.ly/2h612bY) (7:50) In this part, you will learn about how to control the speed and direction of rotation of a motor using a potentiometer. Direct current motors, Part 3 (http://bit.ly/2gasHqa) (11:55) In this part, you will learn about how to control the speed and direction of rotation of a motor using an ultrasonic distance sensor. After that, you could go ahead and design your fist autonomous driving vehicle. Parts Needed

Course work for this class comes from Arduino Step By Step (http://goo.gl/5Uv71ft) which has over 20 hours of content in 110 lectures. These classes are designed for anyone interested in learning electronic design and C programming. No experience is required. Access to the course material is free at our meetups. If you wish to access the material outside the meetup see our coupons page to get a discount from our sponsor (http://www.hackerspacetech.com/pages/coupons.html).
