Moonlight Paddle at Saguaro Lake

Details

We'll paddle Saguaro again (Butcher Jones) but this time during the full moon. When you first drive up, there is a loading/unloading area right near the beach. You can unload your gear there before finding a place to park.

WHAT TO BRING:
a kayak or paddle board and paddles, obviously
life jacket
snacks and drinks
GLOW STICKS or LIGHTS for both you and your boat

PARKING:
You will need either a Tonto pass or a National Parks pass to park at Butcher Jones. They sell passes at the parking lot, but the machines are sometimes broken so you should buy a pass in advance. The cost of a day pass is between $8 and $12.

HOW TO FIND US:
Meet on the beach. I'll be the kayak flying the light saber pirate flag.

PADDLE CRAFT:
Paddle boards, hard-shell kayaks, or high-quality inflatables (no Intex).

REMEMBER:
Bring lights for you and your craft. If you are going to consume alcohol, drink responsibly.

DISCLAIMER:
Please note that neither myself, nor any other trip leaders are professional tour guides, nor do we have any special training in first aid or rescue. You are entirely responsible for your own safety.

PLEASE BE ON TIME, as we don't wait too long for stragglers. If you need to inflate your craft, arrive early so that you are ready to go by 7:00 pm.
