Arsenal are facing PSG in a 2nd Leg Semi Final Champions League showdown this May! Join us from 7pm for drinks and a chat before the match kicks off at 8pm.

📍 How to find us on the day?
When you arrive at The Black Lion, we typically sit at the large tables to the left of the bar, near the big screens and pool table. As the venue operates on a first-come, first-served basis, it can get quite busy. We’ll update the WhatsApp chat to let you know exactly where we’re sitting, especially for those joining us for the first time.

• Respectful Behaviour: If you arrive visibly intoxicated, we may ask you to leave.

🤔 Why did I set this up?
I’ve lived in Manchester since 2019 and struggled to find like-minded friends. In 2022, I decided to set up Manchester’s first Arsenal group on the Meetup app, and to my surprise, it just took off. All I wanted was someone to watch the game with!

😨 Feeling a bit nervous about attending?
No worries, you’re not alone! Over half of our attendees are first-timers, and more than 90% come along solo. Just turn up, and before you know it, you’ll feel right at home wondering why you were ever anxious in the first place!

Since starting the group, we’ve helped people connect and form lasting friendships. We’ve also supported those who might not feel comfortable in social settings to step out of their homes and meet others, and we’re proud to have assisted people dealing with mental health challenges. At Gooners Society, we’re one big family!
