Details

Explore 125 real mummies and related artifacts from across the globe in Mummies of the World: The Exhibition, on display at the Carnegie Science Center during October 5, 2019 – April 19, 2020. Only in Pittsburgh for a limited time, this blockbuster exhibition provides a window into the lives of ancient people from every region of the world including Europe, South America, and Ancient Egypt, offering unprecedented insights into past cultures and civilizations.

The exhibition enthralls guests with dramatic displays of the mummies and their personal stories, as well as state-of-the-art multimedia stations that take visitors on a 4,500-year journey to explore the mummies’ history and origins as well as how they were created, both naturally and intentionally.

TICKET DISCOUNT
For those that wish to only purchase tickets for the Mummies of the World: The Exhibition, we expect to be able to offer $11.50 discount tickets -- which is over 40% off the regular $19.95 Adult Admission for Mummies of the World: The Exhibition.

We'll buy Mummies of the World: The Exhibition tickets at the door (once we get a final head count) and so people should bring CASH so that you can quickly reimburse other members who are able to buy discounted tickets at the door. This will also make it much faster to avoid a long ticket line.

But if you're a Carnegie Museums member, you can buy your own Mummies of the World: The Exhibition tickets for $11.50.

As a special bonus, we expect that 10+ members (depending on how many from the Meetup group have Carnegie memberships which allow complimentary guests) will be able to stay for free during the rest of the afternoon to check out other Carnegie Science Center exhibits, including Highmark SportsWorks® and USS Requin Submarine! This represents an additional $10 savings versus the regular combo admission for Carnegie Science Center/Mummies of the World: The Exhibition.

And for those that might be interested in Rangos Educational Movies in the new state-of-the-art Rangos Giant Cinema, here is the link with the film schedule http://carnegiesciencecenter.org/rangos-giant-cinema/ where Carnegie Museums members (and their guests) can save $2 per ticket ($7.95 instead of $9.95)
