Fabiola Mendez - Live on the Lawn at Grotton Music Hall

Details

## Bring a cooler, blanket, and chair to hear the fabulous Fabiola Mendez in the beautiful setting of Grotton Music Hall!

Sunday, July 27 at 5pm

I went last year. The Grotton music hall is about 45 min West of Boston but the trip is well worth it. There were alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks and food available for sale.

Fabiola Mendez is a Puerto Rican cuatrista, singer, educator, and Emmy-nominated composer. She returns to the lawn this summer with her jazz-infused take on the traditional music of Puerto Rico.

Fabiola’s artistic vision and original music focus on the exploration of her culture, her ancestry, and her identities. Native to Caguas, PR, Fabiola began playing the cuatro, Puerto Rico’s national instrument, at six. She got her early music training at the Antonio Paoli School of Music in Caguas and her Bachelor’s in Music from Berklee College of Music, where in 2018, she made history as the first graduate to play the Puerto Rican cuatro as the principal instrument.
