ABC No Rio's Ides of March 2008

  • Mar 14, 2008 · 7:00 PM

The opening is going to be packed. I have especially requested that ArtForward guests get there at 6:30pm for an early preview. Please be prompt or you will be stuck outside waiting on line. I decided to add a twist to this event. I will be asking a trivia question about ABC No Rio. The attending guest who answers correctly gets a free catalogue for the Ides of March Show 2008 - Artist Collaboratives and Collectives. Here's the warm-up to the trivia question: SANE is a graffiti artist who died in the 80s, he has a famous piece in the backyard of ABC No Rio. Here's a link to the photo: http://www.abcnorio.o.... NOTE: Once you go through the entrance, follow the hallway to your right, and go through the first door. That is the gallery space where we are meeting. On March 14, 2008 ABC No Rio will open its Biannual building-wide exhibition, The Ides of March. The exhibition will include 30 artists groups and collaborative projects. Much work will be incorporated to the existing space and architecture of the building. The 2008 show is expressly focused on the collaborative process among existing artist collectives and individual artists banding together. For more information, click here for the
press release. ABC No Rio 156 Rivington Street (b. Clinton and Suffolk Street) M: F to Delancey Street, or JMZ to Essex Street [masked]
