DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival - film and live concert!

The film Daylight Savings starring musician Goh Nakamura looks like one of the highlights of this weekend'sDC Asian Pacific Film Festival. And he will be appearing live to perform his music! We'll get dinner afterwards to socialize and talk about it.

Tickets must be purchased for this.
They are $12 and can be bought by clicking here.
The Goethe Theater is nice but not that big so if you'd like to go, you should purchase a ticket now.

Director: Dave Boyle
2012, USA, 78 minutes
Goethe-Institut

Daylight Savings rejoins San Francisco musician Goh Nakamura (playing himself) one year after Surrogate Valentine left off. Goh finds commercial success in his fledgling career when his song gets licensed in a national TV commercial. With newfound fame, an upcoming national tour, and a decision to settle down in Los Angeles with his long distance girlfriend Erika (Ayako Fujitani), Goh is devastated when he gets dumped right before the big move.

He reconnects with his old flame Rachel (Lynn Chen), but finds himself drawn toward fellow indie musician Yea-Ming (playing herself). Goh’s cousin Mike (Michael Aki) is a “man with a plan,” but their road trip goes awry and Goh is forced to face his romantic issues on his own. A short film will precede it.
