Using Imagery to Listen to Your Heart & Soul

  • Oct 1, 2011 · 10:00 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Hello everyone, I hope you'll be able to join me for this free, open session on ways that visual imagery (including vision boards, art journals and visual dairies) can be used to define and express who we are in the world, make meaning of the events we experience; and move us closer to the lives we envision. Unless you'd like to work on your own project (always an option), everyone will create a vision board on the topic of listening to your inner voice. Everyone should bring materials they'd like to work with: paints/pencils/pastels/acrylics/markers/pens, images of any kind (magazines, calendars and online image libraries are great sources), photographs, glitter, string/yarn/embroidery thread, stamps, buttons, decorative papers, found objects, inspiring quotes or thoughts, original art of your own or pieces of it, drawings/sketches, memorabilia from an event or occasion, etc. Use your imagination and bring anything that speaks to you visually. Think about bringing items that say something about you, your life, or an opportunity/challenge you're currently facing. Everyone will need a glue stick, glue or adhesive, BUT PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY ADHESIVES THAT HAVE A STRONG ODOR OF ANY KIND OR REQUIRE VENTING.
