  • This location is shown only to members

GREEN ALERT!...The line to get inside the museum is EXTREMELY long, and starts building around 4:45pm. By 5:30 it already goes all the way to Madison Avenue and around the block.  BECAUSE THIS EXHIBITION JUST OPENED, THE LINE WILL BE EVEN LONGER  • Please make sure to budget enough time to meet the group inside the museum at 6:15pm We are NOT waiting for late people, and if you have not checked with Joshua by 6:30, you will be marked as "no show"

James Turrell...

The show is part of a tripartite retrospective that will occur simultaneously at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

The Guggenheim Museum will present James Turrell’s first solo museum exhibition in New York since 1980, an ambitious project that will close the museum’s ramps and use its architecture to create a mass of shifting color similar to his Skyscapes.

Mr. Turrell, an artist who works with light and color to play with human perception, will use natural and artificial programmed light to create the effect, which, when looking up, will look a bit like an eyeball with multiple pupils.

The show will also feature studies and drawings for his magnum opus, Roden Crater (1976–).

Tureell's MEETING ROOM is a permanent installation at PS1 in which the artist uses natural light to create an amazing work of art.

Excellent Meetup! Cool people and well-organized. The Veggie restaurant we went to after the museum was the perfect choice.

Didn't find Joshua or most of the group, but enjoyed the museum, especially the Turrell installation in the rotunda and the room full of Kandinskys.
