Pinnacle Pass Trail - 3.3 miles
6/20 Connector Trail - 0.1 miles
Rim of the Gap Trail - 2.5 miles
Frank Coggins Trail - 0.5 miles
Coldspring Connector - 0.3 miles

Total Mileage = 11.1 miles Afterwards, for those that want a little more hiking action, we can drive over to the Falls Creek Falls trailhead and hike up to see the falls (2.4 miles round trip), for a total of 13.5 miles. The Pinnacle Pass and Rim of the Gap sections of tough, but we get them out of the way during the first half of the hike. Coldspring Branch includes several Saluda River crossings. Jones Gap Trail is a gradual decent back to the parking lot. Jones Gap State Park is a hikers paradise. A little bit of everything - mountain views, waterfalls, rock scrambles, ladders and the ever-present Middle Saluda River.
Meet at Earth Fare West Gate Shopping Center to carpool. We leave at 8am so please be early. I will be in a Black Ford F150. If you want to meet at Jones Gap State Park please be there by 9am.
All the usual information: Be prepared for cool and wet conditions, so waterproof shoes, or a change of shoes, is recommended. Bring layers, as the temperature can vary from the riverbed to the top of the ridge. Pack plenty of water and snacks. Plan on eating lunch along the trail. Hiking poles are recommended for this hike. If you've not been to Jones Gap, you are in for a surprise.
