What we're about
The Victoria Autism-Asperger Meetup Group is a group for people with autism and Asperger's Syndrome, and their families and friends, to get together to meet other people on the autism spectrum, talk, eat and make friends. We are NOT a therapy group, and we do not have any professionals in attendance. We are all people on the autism spectrum ourselves, with some friends and family as well. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member to a meeting, and friends and family members are welcome to attend by themselves if they think it would help them learn about autism & Asperger's. Meetings are held the second Wednesday and fourth Thursday of every month at 400 Craigflower Road. The No. 14 bus from downtown stops across the street; you will know it's time to get off the bus when you see the Crown Palace/Chicken on the Run restaurant. Members can also suggest their own meetups using the "Schedule a new Meetup" tool. While our meetings are normally just social/chatting time, anyone can suggest an activity to try for other times during the month.
