I shall definitely come along to one of these meetings when I visit from Australia, hopefully next year or the year after depending on work and finances to meet fellow Aspies (hopefully some ADHD folk too) and to "annoy" Kenji (I'm joking, he knows me from Facebook and he knows what I'm like lol) ;-)

Fine as long as Kenji doesn't talk too much. ;-)

Loved it! What a great group of people. I enjoyed meeting and learning with them. I am inspired to try harder to make the most of what I've got. I'm lucky to be a part of such a wonderful group of talented individuals.

I can't make any of the meetups because I work every Wednesday night. Wish there was some variance in the days the meetups are scheduled.

It is a great organization and group of people... This atmosphere is quite different than that of the social atmosphere at Fuel Pizza which is more of a social gathering, critical for those dealing with Aspergers. This MeckPromise meeting provides an open atmosphere for individuals to address their everyday concerns and get feedback/support from their peers. This is non pressure, open forum, supports discussions, feedback and relevant dialog. I am grateful for this opportunity and continue to learn so much from various individuals and families. I highly recommend it for anyone touched (directly or indirectly) by Aspergers. Lou Kozar

I have been attending the Aspie Meetup at Fuel Pizza on a semi-regular basis since early 2011. While my challenge is more with a mental health diagnosis (as opposed to an Asperger diagnosis) I look forward to the insight I am getting on another aspect of acheiving mental Wellness. This Aspie Group is well organized and I am able to relate with others more easily because of that. Thanks Kenji & Pierre for having the foresight and ambition to start this Meetup. ~ John C.

Glad to move this meeting to the Golden Corral this month. I want to remind you that last meeting at the pizza place, we used 'every' table that was not a bolted down table !! Glad to see how these meetings get better each month. Helping others is a core belief that everyone has and it shows! Can't wait for this meeting .... See you there! Tom

To get to know other people with Aspergers, their families, and anyone else interested in Aspergers. Also it is a good way to share with each other our struggles and our accomplishments along with giving and receiving advice.

It's important to know what is out there. And also it is no less important to know that there are others out there like you. The latter is important not just simply from the standpoint that it is comforting, but also and even moreso in the event you are struggling with something (in this case, with a diagnosis of or with symptoms of AS).
