How did you become interested in astronomy?

No answer yet

What is your favorite or most memorable place you have stargazed from?

Maine; I'm finding the metro area to be less than ideal for the activity.

Do you use ever use optical equipment for stargazing?

Naked eye, mind's eye, and the occasional T1i ... oh geez, that rhymed.

Have you taken any astrophotos, and if so, what equipment (35mm, DSLR, CCD camera)?

Just the occasional moon shot with my T1i... it's various settings haven't lent themselves to stellar shots. I'm happy with what hubble and its successors produce on my behalf.

Do you use any astronomy software?

Erm... 3D starmap stuff, sure. I've always strayed beyond the limitations of the celestial sphere where possible.

I've never spent a lot of time peering through telescopes, really. Most of my explorations of the sky have been via my imagination and in three dimensions. That said, it's a subject dear to me and, given my newness to the area, one I want to share.
