Political Philosophy and the Constitution - Ben Franklin Thinking Society

This is a discussion presented by the Ben Franklin Thinking Society Meetup.

"We will explore the philosophical principles on which the Constitution is based as well as discuss political philosophy in the context of how well different approaches lead to a harmonious, well functioning, free society. We will start with what are the requirements for a modern society to function in a harmonious, equitable way. The next segment will address how philosophers of the past have approached this issue in political philosophy. We then shift the discussion to the political philosophy inherent in the Constitution. Then lastly, much like the founding fathers did we will argue the relative merits of how well the constitutional principles can or have lead to a harmonious, equitable, well functioning society. "
