THE NO GOD BAND 10:45-11:45pm
featuring Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller

Pet Tigers 10-10:30pm

The Forget Me Nows 9:15-9:45pm

Time Crashers 8:30-9pm

$15 at the door

Backstage Bar & Billiards (Triple B) is located on the SE corner of 6th St and Fremont, directly across from the El Cortez Hotel & Casino.

This will be THE NO GOD BAND's more intimate warmup gig before their big Bacon & Doughnut Party at The Amazing Meeting the following night. They only play a few shows a year so don't miss this opportunity to see them in a smaller venue where you have a better chance to hang out with Penn and the band, all while supporting a great organization!

All proceeds go to the Secular Legal Society at UNLV Boyd Law, a new UNLV affiliate of the Secular Student Alliance.

The mission of the Secular Legal Society is:
1.) To advocate for the separation of church and state as outlined in the Establishment and Free Exercise Clauses of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution;
2.) To endorse government neutrality towards, and equal rights for, all religious and secular Americans;
3.) To educate people about the interaction between religion and law in the United States;
4.) To produce publications regarding our constitutional freedom of and from religion;
5.) To promote the merits of science-based policy;
6.) To support the local community through organized service projects and volunteer work; and
7.) To establish a supportive social network among our members.

    I don't take polls on how many songs specifically target individuals by name, nor would I want to, but I haven't been made aware of too many. I do know what I like and what I don't though. Just my opinion. Like Penn said, "Marketplace of ideas, motherfucker!"

    Excuse me, but isn't that the most popular theme of songs, after love songs?

    I liked that Penn mingled with the crowd. I was a little put off by some of the songs that specifically targeted people based on their opposition to Penn's views. To me, everyone has freedom of speech, but acknowledging peons who have problems with you elevates them and cheapens you.

    I hope (and pray?) the SLS really does promote the merits of science-based policy. The American Humanist Association claims to but their policies are all based on their feelings. If their policies are all based on science, then how come their policies are no different than any other egalitarian liberal?

    I wish I could...let me know how THE NO GOD BAND IS. I met Penn at AIDS walk and I wanted him to sign the picture we took.

      Sorry but we decided against doing presale tickets to reduce costs, but you should be safe as long as you get there about when doors open at 8pm.
