  • Atheist activism at The Alamo
Hello again everyone. A few of us are going to drive to The Alamo today to do some activism. We will be holding some signs that identify us as atheists and hoping to engage theists and fellow atheists in conversations. We will be filming it and may use the footage on our ACA produced YouTube show. We will be set up close to the Alamo under one of the shade trees close by. Come on out if you are curious or want to show your support!

  • Atheist Community of Austin at Georgetown Market Days
The Atheist Community of Austin has a booth at the Georgetown market days the second Saturday of every month. We give out literature about the group and try to present a positive face for atheism. Everybody is welcome to come by the booth and say hello. We love to have discussions with fellow atheists as well as have cordial discussions with believers of all faiths.

Just ask at the front or look for a table with a paper sign on it in the restaurant if you arrive late. You can call or text me at[masked] if you have any problems finding the group. Please arrive as close to 7 as you can for the benefit of the waitstaff. -Eric

Want to get together in a nice relaxed setting where you can have fun learning new board/dice/card games and discussing religious subjects that might be taboo in your other environments? Come out and join us on the 1st Tuesday of the month, where we'll offer challenging gameplay and sympathetic conversation. We try to keep the focus on camaraderie, not concentration, so I’ll have a variety of *mostly* easy games good for 2-6 players. We may break up into several tables, depending on attendance. As with most gaming stores, the early birds get the tables… so I’ll set a target time of 6:30 to start a short game or two, usually starting a longer game by about 7:30. If you’re late, you may have to spectate for a bit. I’ll need to plan the games based on attendance, so early responses will be very much appreciated… and no-shows will owe me a drink. :) Please remember that Emerald Tavern is a business; they have some guidelines posted online ( http://www.emeraldtaverngames.com/table-space-game-library-policies/ ). Please note the policy that states ..."During extremely busy periods customers not making reasonable purchases of food and/or drinks may be asked to give up their table for other cafe customers who are waiting for a table." please plan to purchase 1 food/drink item per hour on average per person, and outside food and drink is not allowed... not even water bottles. If you don't RSVP here on meetup, consider yourself on the waiting list behind those who did.
