Not gonna agree with ya there, bud.

I don't think religious people are "evil and out to get [me]", but I do think their views are silly. If that makes me a big bad grumpy atheist stereotype, so be it.

I agree; I have to admit I am kind of disappointed with some (not all) of the people in this group; I wasn?t expecting so much sheepish hate based on stereotyping, broad sweeping generalization, and insecurity in general. There seems to be a lot of people clinging to the idea that humans can be simplified into lowest common denominators and thus efficiently judged and labeled according to their political views or religious beliefs. Believe it or not humans are the most complex organism on the planet and can?t be lumped into generalized groups. Not all Christians are evil and not all Atheists are good people?.

It?s the same atheists who judge all religious people as evil and out to get them that also get irritated, albeit ?hypocritically,? when a Christian stereotypes them in the exact same way.

Let?s rise up and transcend this behavior; surely it will be more rewarding?

It's the Hippocratic oath.  If you're going to make insulting generalizations about a diverse, multi-faceted group of people you might as well get the spelling right when you're doing it.

Oh, I see, your a doctor then?  Just more ammo for my arsenal of evidance confirming just how disconnected docs are from those working in allied and nursing. Sure you guys will say whatever you think someone wants to hear. After all, that's how best to milk every last buck. Way to uphold the hypocratical oath.

Do you (C.J.) actually work in health care, or does merely knowing docs make you an expert on the subject of religions influence in healthcare?

I doubt it really effects the quality of care you get in Austin though.

Now would I go to a Mormon hospital in Utah and admit I was agnostic....
No...  but in Austin I am not really concerned....
