Atlanta Astronomy Club monthly meeting, July 19th

Dr. Mariel Meier, Associate Professor of Physics at Oglethorpe University, will be joining the Atlanta Astronomy Club at 3pm on Saturday, 19th July.

The subject of her talk will be 'Space Plasmas in our Solar System' and will focus particularly on solar wind.

Dr. Meier is researching the interaction of the solar wind with the charged particles and magnetic fields of Jupiter and Saturn, and the implications of that interaction (eg auroras, and protecting delicate instrumentation).
