Cheatam Hill at the Kennesaw Mtn Natl 10AM Sat. Apr 25th
Details
Join us for another North siders hike at Cheatam Hill which is part of Kennesaw Mountain Natl Park thehttps://www.nps.gov/kemo/index.htm
We will do about a 4.5 mile hike on this moderate difficulty trail. There are some roots and rocks to step over and some lite grade hills. Also, we will do the Pigeon hill climb which is a steep 1/4 mile treck. Otherwise, it is relatively flat trail.
We will meet at the parking area at 10AM. As always these are as you will, use your best judgement, at your own pace hike, and always good to remember water and sunsceen to help enjoy the trail.
I will be there wearing my red shirt to help you find the meet up.
Find the location by using the address:
699 Cheatham Hill Dr, Marietta, GA 30064.
There is parking at the park and overflow just up the drive. There is a five dollar fee for parking in the park, which can be used for entrance to any of the national park locations in the same day. And if you are an annual member of the National Parks, then you are already covered. For those driving up I-75 to the park, the Marrietta GA 120 exit will put you about 15 minutes from the park entrance.
For those who would like to get a quick lunch after, I will be stopping in at one of the lunch places close to the park. We can pick between Hoboken Cafe, Marrietta Melt Yard, or Marrietta Perks for those looking for a carb reload :)
